Nadir

Big struggle the last two days with indigestion, low grade fever, bad sleep. This was the predicted low point after treatment (Nadir) so somewhat expected, but no more fun. Now, rebuilding. (We can rebuild him, make him stronger.....) This is occurring 12-13 days after chemo started, which is on schedule. Retest of bone marrow will happen Monday, results by Wednesday. That gives us next steps.

  2. Hey Brian,
Charlie Murray here. I just heard about your little setback from Kelley. I hope it's ok that I drop in on your life like this but I certainly want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers as you go forward with your treatments. My wife had breast cancer ten years ago resulting in radical double mastectomies with major vascular reconstruction etc etc. I will not lie she's one tough lady and I think she just made her mind up that it was her or cancer and she chose herself! It will always be something that keeps her on the lookout, however it frees ones self up to look for the good in life and to not dwell on the negative. You were always one of the most mentally strongest and most physically fit swimmers that I was blessed to coach. I doubt you have changed in your life but have only gotten stronger and wiser with age!! You have taken this on much like you took on any workout or opponent that you faced and that's with a dogged determination to win along with being one of the most noblest men that I've had the pleasure of working with. Thank you. Brian and keep the faith•
